Long day & weekend roundup
Because of the Auslanders Amt (see post below), I got to work around 11:20am. Therefore, I didn't leave work until 9:20pm. And then I called Mom. And then I called Bill. Now I'm posting to my blog because I haven't posted in five days. What a long day.
I have beautiful pictures of flowers that Bill and I bought this weekend. And Bill took pictures of me being domestic and cooking (gasp!) lasagna for him for dinner. :) Which I have a WHOLE lot of leftovers of now. I never learned how to make portions for two people - there were six of us growing up (including the parents). Oh, and yes Janine and Erik, it was the Wilkins family Polish lasagna. LOL. [See, I made lasagna once for Janine and Erik. And was promptly told that THAT wasn't lasagna - maybe Polish lasagna, but definitely NOT Italian. The next week Erik made lasagna and showed me how REAL lasagna was supposed to be made. Nice, but I grew up with my version, I'm keeping it. :P]
Hmm.....let's see. Our weekend didn't consist of much. Just grocery shopping, laundry, watching Matrix 2 (so we can eventually see Matrix 3), and going to the sauna. While grocery shopping Saturday, I bought chocolate. Lots of chocolate. Of the 120 in groceries, about 20 was for food for me, 20 was for personal items, and the rest was chocolate. NONE of it was for me (okay, the bag of bite size Twix was for me). And I'm not done. I have more chocolate to buy for other people for Christmas. I have a whole bunch of stuff stacking up in my house that I need to finish packing up and send out. If I do it in the next week and a half, it'll probably make it to the States for Christmas.
Tomorrow morning I get to go sift through more German red tape so I can get my tax card. This orange piece of paper tells my employer how much tax to take out of my paycheck for the next year. Lovely. I need it before the end of the month so I can get my 13th month of pay next month. To help pay for the chocolate I'm sending to the States as gifts. ;)
