NaNoWriMO
No, that's not gibberish, it's the acronym for
National Novel Writing Month. I found this link through
A Small Victory.
NaNoWriMo is a website the encourages you to write a 50,000 word work of fiction during the month of November. Just because. Well, just because lots of people want to write and if they have a support group and a time deadline, they're more likely to actually DO it. Bunches of amatuers writing for the fun of it.
Every now and then I get a creative writing itch. (Which I guess is fulfilled quite a bit by writing this blog.) And I've been kind of considering joining the site and writing . . . something. I'm not sure what. It has to be fiction, so an autobiography is out. Unless I fictionalize it. I could write erotica, but well....I couldn't post that here. Heh heh (I'm sure you wanted to read that, right Mom? Dad?). Anyway. ("Sowieso" oder "Wie auch immer" oder "auf jedem Fall" auf Deutsch). Hmm...I'm getting off topic. Oh, what to write about. Well, it doesn't have to be good, it's a first effort after all. And it's not like anybody on the NaNoWriMo site is going to actually read it, they just put the text through a word counter script. But, if I'm going to go through the effort, it should be at least interesting and readable, right?
Long and short....I'm thinking about, thinking about ideas. And yes, fishing for ideas or topics from the audience while I'm at it. :)
I'm off to bed now.
