Weekend Roundup
Friday afternoon saw me getting extremely pissed at work and then meeting Bill at the train station to head to his place for half the weekend. I immediately felt better just being out of the office and spending time with Bill. So much so, I didn't even really mind that ALL the trains seemed to be 30 to 40 minutes late for some reason (some work on a track just north of Frankfurt I think), and it took us and extra two hours to get to his place.
Saturday we hit the used bookstore in Ramstein (five books for 17.50! Woo hoo!) and then took off to explore the countryside. We visited two small castles south of him and even went JUST over the border into France for the second one. Lovely weather - warm, not hot; nice breeze; lovely skies. It was a perfect day. :)
This morning I headed back to Frankfurt so Bill could spend the day with his son. Also, so I could come into work and work on this stupid project that's running behind, has a big presentation on Wednesday, and was the cause of me getting extremely mad at my boss. He's getting frustrated and taking his anger out on EVERYBODY. I was the target Friday afternoon. Ug, never mind. It's working out, but I have to work today because of it. By the way, this is a project I just got pulled into on Tuesday and haven't been involved with since the beginning, so I'm still figuring it out myself.
Off to work.
