Volksmarch

This morning, Bill and I went volksmarching. You walk 5,10, or 20km. For fun. :) You can collect your km's in a volkmarching book and when you reach certain milestones, you can send the books in for prizes. But mostly, it's a good way to get out, get some exercise, and be in the countryside.

Anyway, we went to the one that's in his town this weekend, and as we pulled in to the parking, I saw our family friend (and Joe's godmother) from when we lived here before. She was just leaving the area, so I hopped out of the car, ran around to her car in the line to leave and knocked on the window. She reparked and we talked for about twenty minutes. It was great to see her! She had just finished the 20km, and we were about to start the 10km. If we had arrived at any other time, I would have completely missed her.
