I have a confession -

I have a confession - I haven't turned my TV on in about a week. Furthermore, I have not followed the news whatsoever for the last week or so either. The only way I get news is via Instapundit or any of the other blogs I read on a regular basis. I didn't even know Bush had declared victory in a speech aboard an aircraft carrier until I saw a picture of him on a Holland newspaper and read the caption (Dutch is a weird combination of German & English & special uniqueness - similar enough that I could understand the caption). Hmm, I'm a bad global citizen. Bad Anna, bad Anna.

On a more positive note, my kitchen is cleaned! I even unpacked my Pluto cookie jar which has been sitting in it's box on the counter for the last four months. Even more amazing (listen up Mom!), I've ... started ... to ... pack! Well, setting out things to be put in the suitcases that are on the floor, but that's a start, right? :)

I decided that tonight would be a no-computer night, and I stuck with it 90% of the time. I did turn the computer on to listen to a couple of CD's and then around 10pm I checked my email. But other than that, I stayed off of it.

Oh, and Bill bought me chocolate chips, butterscotch chips & vanilla extract, so I'm going to make cookies! Woo hoo! Maybe tomorrow night, but more probably Friday evening. Just when the kitchen gets cleaned for the first time in weeks.....
