Hmm...had a couple of dates this last weekend. Met a really sweet sexy American guy, Bill on Friday and liked him so much we went out again on Sunday. Saturday was a date with an Italian guy who was interesting to talk with. As a result of the dates and Germany's short shopping hours, I did not get much done around the house.
Ug, speaking of the house, I have a crappy fan in the bathroom. It's been louder than normal the last week b/c I partially took it apart to clean it. Man, was it dusty. I considered taking it completely apart to get to the fan blades, but while I was living life and contemplating it, it just annoyed me even more b/c it was louder since the cover was off. So I put the cover back on. The worst part of the fan is I can't control when it comes on. Okay, I CAN control when it comes on as long as I don't mind doing things in the dark. It comes on some indeterminant time after the light goes on and then turns off some indeterminant time after the light turns off. It has a purpose - namely reducing the humidity in a room with no window, but it annoys the CRAP out of me.
Good news: my colleague told me that German laws on shopping hours on Saturday will be relaxed starting sometime in June. Instead of a mandatory closing hour of 4pm, the stores will be allowed to remain open until 6 or 8 (!) pm. He wasn't sure, but definitely at least two hours longer. WOW. Ich bin ueberrascht!
