Okay, my one loyal reader

Okay, my one loyal reader has complained about the dearth of posts lately, so I'm doing an update. :) Happy Erik?

I'm going to update my links on the side to include links to warblogs that I've been reading lately. Basically, this is where I'm getting my news about the war. CNN is full of vague reports, nothing of substance really. Vague Pro-American ra-ra stuff. Oh, and a little bit of "Iraq says this" and "Anti-war protesters that". Although, they've got a retired Army general on staff that really seems to give intelligent commentary on battle plans and results. BBC is what I usually like to watch when I get tired of CNN, but BBC seems to be full of sneering comments against America and British, although a couple commentators are intelligent. It seems they think the war should have ended about two days with no American/British casualities at all. German news gives human interest stories, anti-war stories, stories of American accidentally blowing each other up, and - get this - news (for Germany) other than war!

So for a balanced perspective and concrete news, I'm looking at these new links on the right.

Oh, I'm still working out 2-3 times a week. A stretch aerobic class last week REALLY worked out my ab muscles, while the Yoga class Monday stretched out my back. I really want to back to the stretch aerobic class tonight, but I'm currently sick. So, if I feel up to it this evening, I'll go. Otherwise, I'm staying home, checking websites, sleeping, and curly up with books. Speaking of books, this morning I went to the local bookstore to see about getting some feel good fluff books auf Englisch. MAN, their English selection SUCKs. The international bookstore in the main train station has a bigger select than them. I think they have a total of 100 books auf Englisch. Sigh. Well, fortunately, I still have a few that I haven't read yet from Christmas shopping. :)

Okay, this post was long enough.....of to read a sci-fi book and take a nap. Posted by Jinglelady at March 26, 2003 10:46 AM | Previous Blog | TrackBack
