Oh My God.......I just scared

Oh My God.......I just scared the crap out of myself.

Instead of doing something (namely, dropping and recreating a table) in the test database as I thought I was doing, I did it in production. The table wasn't one of the major ones, but it was important. Fortunately my boss was able to recreate it from a backup and lots of redo logs.......but still. He chewed me out a little and said that if it had been one of the big business critical tables, bye bye. No more job.

The thing is, I DID drop and recreate one of the big tables....but in test, like I thought I was for the other one. WHEW. I'm going to be double and triple sure where I am before I do anything like that next time. Posted by Jinglelady at February 5, 2003 08:18 PM | Previous Blog | TrackBack
