okay, back to the weekend:
okay, back to the weekend:
Saturday:
After the movie, Michelle and I went to the Oktoberfest. Friends of friends had a table inside a tent (woo hoo!), so we just had to stand outside a tent for about 10 minutes to get in. Hint: when the door opens, follow anybody who manages to get in and pretend you're with them. We saw a couple of guys do that, and then did it ourselves the next time. :)
Sitting at the table and drinking bier was much more fun this weekend as compared to last weekend. Last weekend we were outside, squished into the ends of multiple tables and/or standing between the tables. Way too many people and no music to dance and sing to....just drunk people to talk to and watch. No fun especially when you are squished into a spot that can fit half your butt, your friends are pressed in on every side of you and you haven't had much to eat for the day. Anyway....that was last weekend. This weekend we had a place to sit/stand on and music to sing and dance with. MUCH better. The only bad part of the evening was the visit to the toilet. Imagine about 100-150 women PACKED together in the space that normally fits about 30-40 people....this is the LINE outside the door. There was a security guard at the door controlling how many people could get in the door...but that was okay because once you were in, the line was about three people. Everybody kept pushing forward like it would help move the people....it just packed us in tighter! After 30 minutes of this, we were able to finally use the toilet....whew! Oh, and the women just behind the security guard were ferocious! The second he lifted his arm, twenty women were trying to get under it. I'm sure glad I didn't have his job!
I went back to Michelle's place to spend the night as it's right in the middle of town (and very nice!).
Sunday: Michelle and I made crepes for breakfast then headed out to my place to pack. We spent the entire afternoon doing that. Also, my landlord, the real estate agent, and an interested renter dropped by too.
Now, most of the small things are packed...just the big things to take apart now. Woo hoo!
That's it for the weekend. :)
