Okay, about the weekend. I've been very busy helping friends move, leaving work, and moving a little bit myself.

Thursday:

This was my last day of work. I mostly did nothing. Came in, wrote my Oktoberfest entry, ate some leftover kuchen (cake/pastry) for breakfast, and then went out for Chinese with a couple of colleagues. After lunch, surfed the web a bit, and then walked to the security office to hand in my badge. Bye bye Dornier! sniff. It really was a little bit sad.

In the evening I went over to Michelle & Natasha's apartment. I helped Natasha finish packing, plugged the holes in the walls with putty, and then we tried painting the wall with the most scrapes and touching up the other walls. I say "try" because when we woke up in the morning (I spent the night), the wall looked horrible! We should have cut the paint with water so it would go on thinner. Their landlord is going to have a professional paint it and charge them. Ouch.

Friday:

I went home, gathered up my laundry, and took the train into Pasing (about 10 minutes away by train) to do my laundry. My suitcases get more use transporting my clothes to and from the laundromat than travelling! I got home around 2pm, hung up the stuff that wasn't dry, and then headed back to Michelle & Natasha's. Michelle was moving into her new apartment and rented a truck to move everything. Three of us helped her finish the last minute packing and load it into the van. Then we fought Oktoberfest traffic to drive into the middle of the city and unload it all at her new apartment. Of course, it was raining. And it was raining even harder when we finally arrived.

I had to leave around 6:30pm to go show my apartment to an interested couple. They seem to be very interested and I hope they take it....that way I don't have to show it to anybody else.

Finally, I helped Zarir return the van. Then we all met back up in the city and went to a bar. Let's just say, a lot was drunk that night. It was a great bar, good friends, and a good time. :)
