I forgot part of my website password the other day, so I had the hosting company reset it. No problem! Go in, change the password again. Great. It works. I checked! Oh, wait, while we're here....let's mess with this permission. Oooh, and THAT permission. Save, log off, go out for some afternoon sunshine.
Think about logging into the website several times during the next day, but decide it will just distract you too much, so go off and read OTHER websites and work. (I know, it doesn't make sense). Finally, while on the phone with your boyfriend, discover that those clever permission changes render your blog completely USELESS! You can't log in. The comments don't work. ARGGHHH!
Fiddle with permissions again. Nada. Research forum. Post message to forum. Fiddle with permissions 10 more times. FINALLY hit right combination that allows you to log in. Sigh.
Note to self: DO NOT play with permissions anymore! At least, until you've read up on them some more.
