I either have the med that is a combo anti-histamine/decongestant that helps but makes me loopy and achy or I have the dry-out-the-sinuses, give a bad taste in the mouth, dry out the mouth/lungs stuff that doesn't stop me from having a stuffed up nose.
Guess I'll go see a doctor this week and see what prescription stuff they can recommend. Argh.

I found that a combo of Allegra (fexofenadine hydrochloride) 60 mg twice a day, Cataflam (Diclofenac Sodium) 100 mg twice a day, and and Flonase nasal spray (fluticasone proprionate) helps a lot. Sometimes, I skip the nighttime dose of Allegra and take a sedating antihistamine such as Benadryl (diphenhydramine hydrochloride) instead to help with sleep.
I'm like you - stuff with decongestants makes me crazy (psuedoephedrine, methylephedrine, and the like). All Taiwanese OTC meds seem to be combos and include stuff like that. Luckily, the pharmacists I go to don't ask to see a prescription when I ask for my behind the counter meds.
