Countdown: 1 week down

Okay, I keep meaning to post here. But, obviously, I haven't. Sigh. No motivation. Tomorrow week one of the five week count down from last week is down - my brother arrives. And in typical Jinglelady Family Murphy's Law fashion - the flight is delayed! The only one on the schedule that is delayed! He should be going wheels up in an hour, but instead he's now scheduled for wheels up in 2.5 hours. Which means he'll miss his connecting flight to Frankfurt. Not to worry though, Lufthansa flys from there every two hours. So he should be through baggage claim and everything just in time for the hair appt I scheduled for 3pm tomorrow. Have to see if I can bump that up.

What else is new? My furniture isn't really selling (not impressed with the Insart classifieds), I haven't finished polishing my resume (which I've been meaning to do for a month now), and work is there. We're starting the knowledge transfer. Which is perfect because the project where I was a lead developer and has been running smoothly for the last 6 months? Today had problems. Not of my making, but perfect opportunity to introduce the other developer to the program. And the other monthly project I handed over to another developer three months ago and has also been (mostly) running okay? Today had data missing. So he got to experience how big the iceberg is underneath these couple of small monthly reports really is. Again, not of our making, but good learning opportunity.

And me? Slightly tipsy at the moment. Went out for drinks with two of the S's. Good time. :)

At least he didn't miss his flight!!!! Not that we know of anyone that has done that! Love you!

He went Airborne at 1942 hours.

Hey, just wanted to say thanks because I found an obscure bit of information that I was looking for on the song Instanbul (not Constantinople) on your website. Much appreciated...

by the way, when I saw Mona Lisas Smile, I thought the same as you! (Inside joke or did TMBG cover the song!?)
