....weeks to go that is. And what a whirlwind they are going to be!
This evening: dinner with family friends
Thursday: dinner and possibly card/board games with friends
Friday: last day of work! Woo hoo! Par-tay afterwards.
Sat-Mon: Budapest (where I'll be meeting a former coworker for drinks)
Tues: frantic last minute cleaning, meeting with the landlord, hoping to G*D somebody picks up my couch and bed by then
(anybody need a green and white striped couch for about 1/10th the original price I paid for it?? Or a bed with slats?? (140x200))
1. A year ago I would have loved to be able to take the furniture of your hands, especially the couch, now I have a spare couch and bed and wardrobe in the attic that I can't get rid of. Sorry.
2. For Glasgow, where I spent four wonderful years studying, ignore this* review completely, the author is an idiot - with the exception of the Burrell collection, which really is worth seeing. As for where to go inbetween Glasgow and Edinburgh - north - definetly north. From Edinburgh, drive up the M9 to Stirling at least. Don't stop anywhere inbetween, especially not Grangemouth. Check out Stirling on the internet to see if there's anything that sounds interesting to you, after that, you can think about how much you enjoy driving on the right (as in correct) side of the road, and basically drive in a big loop basically anywhere to the north of Stirling, the scenery is wonderful, it's really just a pleasure to drive around and take it in. See how the weather is basically - hope you enjoy it (and get rid of your furniture).
