Okay Ladies (and any Gents) - our Thread CAL is open for fun! On your mark, get set, crochet!
I've set up a Gallery for us to show off our works in progress (WIP). At the moment, I'm the only user and there's just the one photo there, but if you leave a comment with your email address (which will not be displayed or linked to), I'll set up an account for you. Or, just email me directly at crochet @ jinglelady.us with your preferred account name and password.
Oh, and if you leave your website/blog address in a comment, I'll add it to the links on the left. :-)
Expect the look and feel to change a little as I tweak the interface over the weekend. Also, PLEASE let me know if you encounter any goofs, bugs, hard-to-use elements, etc.
That's it! Let's get started!
Posted by Jinglelady at January 8, 2005 12:01 AMYour first thread project looks awesome! You have to be proud of that. I'm gonna do a filet crochet bread cloth for the cal. Thanks for setting all this up!

Your doily is beautiful! I never made a red doily before... Hmm, maybe I should try it! :)
I'm in too! :)
I have 3 projects picked out, but I still haven't been able to decide which one to make first. :P
I am ready to join in the fun!
I think your first thread project looks great! I hope mine will look half as good.
Posted by: srmc at January 8, 2005 04:13 AMYour doily looks lovely! I have decided to make a doily and a few other thread pieces like coasters and bookmarks. Maybe even a suncatcher:) Looking forward to this CAL!!!
Posted by: Vims at January 8, 2005 05:40 AMThanks for the compliment Ladies! :-) I was surprised it turned out so good, seeing as it was my first.
For my project I'll be working on two doilies from the 99 Doilies book for my Mom. She gave me the book for Christmas, so I told her to pick one or two and I'd make them for her. I even started on one while at home, but didn't get past the first row! Doh!
Anyway, happy crocheting! I'll be sending out Gallery usernames to those who commented with their email address later today.
Posted by: Anna at January 8, 2005 12:10 PMI can't wait! I just cleaned up and reorganized my yarn in my bedroom and created a little area to crochet before I go to bed. I have my thread and squares I already started for a poncho sitting right next to my seat! Woohoo!
Count me in definately! I'm working on a Parisian Pineapple doily.
I'm so glad we're finally having a thread-a-long! :)
