Well, Janine went with the Purple boa and purple yarn together. The other one was too wild. ;-) I'm going to see if I can add the fun fur as an accent though. Maybe a border, or on the ends, or weave a chain of it through somehow. We'll see.
I started the scarf on my morning commute and by the time I got home I had about 5 inches done. Only problem was, I could tell that my two skeins of boa weren't going to last at that rate. Plus, it just seemed to be getting wider. So I tried my next smaller hook (6.5mm - I was using an 8mm) for a few stitches and that looked much better. So I "frogged" (rip it! rip it!) the thing back to the third row and started over with the smaller hook. I also changed the stitch from a double crochet to an extended double crochet. See if I can cheat more length out that way. It's looking great so far! Much better that before.
