Progress on the Olympic Sweater is slow. I spent at least 3-4 hours on Sunday and today (day off) on the sweater, but it's slow going. I'm not sure if I'll finish. I wanted to get to 50% today, but it didn't happen. I'm taking a trip Fri-Sun for wedding plans, so I don't think those three days will have much productive crocheting. Oh well, I'll keep crocheting as much as possible, and at least I'll have a LOT of the sweater done by the end of the Olympics.
Day 9:

Day 10:

Love the sweater...I'm so anxious to try a sweater. Never made clothing except when I was way young and everyone was making those fish net sorta vest. After the olympics, I'll give it a shot I think.

That's a funky camera angle there. At first I thought an ironing board was wearing a thong! But no, that would be silly. I see now it's the start of a very lovely sweater. :)
I won't be able to finish my Crochet Olympics project either cuz I couldn't find the right size purse handles on time. I did manage to order some nice ones from eBay today. :) Good luck with your sweater.

Posted by: elaine.triquetra at February 22, 2006 07:25 AMYour top is looking beautiful Anna! I love that stitch you're doing. Looks daunting though. Don't fret about the time. There is still sev days left right?
You'll have a gorgeous top to wear soon! I'm envious! My shrug is coming along, almost there but it's pretty basic looking. I'll email ya when I am finished. Can't wait to grab the gold button. I've been going slow the last few days...maybe that will motivate me to finish it.
